Farmers, agronomists, conservation professionals, and allied industry are invited to attend the Pennsylvania No-Till Alliance Summer Field Days, scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, at Ernst Conservation Seeds in Meadville and Thursday, July 23, at Flinchbaugh Farms and Orchard in Hellam.

The featured speaker at both locations will be South African farmer and soil health advocate Egon Zunckel. He will share lessons learned from his experience implementing no-till and cover-crop systems in his presentation, “My Journey Toward Soil Health with No-Till and Cover Crops.” Zunckel will also present “Above Average Yields from Below Average Soils,” offering practical insights into improving productivity on challenging ground.

Flinchbaugh Farms: A panel on nitrogen reduction strategies will feature discussions on Penn State’s Nitrogen Tool, nitrogen strategy trials conducted by The Mill, and on-farm nitrogen research conducted at Flinchbaugh Farms.

Additionally, in addition to the field day programs, attendees can participate in “Meeting of the Minds” dinners held the evening before each event, along with a tour of the event locations: Ernst Seed Farm, Flinchbaugh Farms, and Orchard.

Pre-registration is encouraged. Registration is FREE for Pennsylvania No-Till Alliance members, $25 for non-members and non-registered, and $30 for late or day-of registrations.
