The Walton Farm has been in the family since 1921. The Waltons made a living selling produce in the city and butter to their neighborhood, as well as running a hardware store in the historic schoolhouse down the street.
Now, Mr. Walton and his wife grow produce and flowers, as well as care for numerous animals on the property. When they’re not farming, the Waltons spend their time working on preserving the 1850s schoolhouse and its history, sharing their findings with fellow Lancaster historians.
Join the Lancaster Farmland Trust for a fresh, hearty breakfast with beautiful farm views, and celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Walton’s historic schoolhouse with an insider tour and presentations by the farm owner and LFT staff.
See firsthand the positive impact your support has had on Lancaster County’s landscape and learn more about Lancaster County’s rich history. All proceeds from the event support our mission to preserve Lancaster County’s farmland.
