She will discuss how geopolitical factors, trade policies, and global supply chains shape agricultural markets.

New Session: The PennAg Expo Unplugged!

Come join us for a new afternoon session, The PennAg Expo Unplugged: Protecting Your Flock & Practical Wildlife Biosecurity Support.

Join Zach Bair, USDA Wildlife Services District Supervisor, and Ella Gerhardt, wildlife biologist, on the Expo Tradeshow Floor as they discuss the USDA APHIS Wildlife Services partnership with poultry producers to enhance biosecurity.

USDA offers free assessments to identify wildlife pathways that may be spreading Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). These evaluations and mitigation strategies aim to prevent losses if HPAI is detected. They will also address nuisance wildlife issues on farms.

A Look Back At The 2025 Expo

PennAg was excited to host its annual PennAg Expo: Keystone Pork, Poultry, and Manure Expo, which attracted over 800 farmers, ag professionals, and ag industry supporters from across Pennsylvania, including Lancaster, Schuylkill, and Perry Counties.

2025 Expo Keynote Session

The 2025 Expo keynote was a concert performance from the Outdoor Channel’s HeadHunter’s TV Personality and Country Music Artist, Nate Hosie. He also shared some stories from his childhood and hunting adventures in Pennsylvania with the PennAg Expo audience.

Known across the hunting world as “The Turkey Slayer,” Nate Hosie of Scranton, Pennsylvania, is unparalleled in his calling skills. His deep connection to the wild has earned him a reputation as one of the most skilled and dedicated outdoorsmen.

But his talents don’t stop in the woods. As a country music singer, Nate blends his love for the land with heartfelt lyrics and melodies that resonate with anyone who’s ever felt the pull of nature. Whether he is chasing turkeys in the hills or writing songs that celebrate life’s simple joys, Nate lives and breathes authenticity.

The 2025 Expo At A Glance

Our annual PennAg Expo was held on March 18, 2025, at the Lebanon Valley Expo Center. The event offered attendees educational sessions on poultry, swine, and nutrient management, as well as an informative and innovative trade show.

What was New at Expo in 2025?

Small Ruminant-Sheep Grower Spotlight:

The Kings, Megan, a U.S. Army Veteran, and Ollie, a British Army Veteran, raise Shropshire and Clun Forest Sheep. At Expo, they shared their farming story, detailing how they began farming and built an enterprise that preserves genetics and produces grass-fed meat and high-quality wool.

Morning Expo Stage Talk Session:

We hosted a morning session on a stage adjacent to the Expo Tradeshow. Our first session was on “Closing the Talent Gap on the Farm” presented by Barrett Ellis, the Director of Customer Success at SwineTech, who addressed the challenges of attracting, training, and retaining skilled workers in agriculture and highlight actionable Human Resources and workforce management strategies.
