Executive Vice President

As the longtime executive vice president of PennAg Industries Association, Chris Herr serves as the voice of Pennsylvania’s agribusiness. In Harrisburg, Herr cultivates and advocates for our members across various agribusiness sectors, from aquaculture to equine and manure haulers and feed and grain, championing them before the state legislature’s agriculture and rural affairs committees.

Jennifer Reed Harry is an experienced agriculture professional with demonstrated expertise in leadership, association management, communications, and engagement, emphasizing effective resolution to issues and concerns to ensure a forward path for agriculture at the local, state, and national levels — proven ability to take the complex problems including environmental regulations, legislation, transportation, labor and aquaculture engaging stakeholders to work towards consensus on critical issues.

Taylor Hoverter, a native of Dillsburg, grew up involved in equestrian activities and family farm work. This background instilled in her a strong appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the farming community. As a long-time member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA), Hoverter achieved several distinctions during her career, including the prestigious American Degree in 2021. She graduated from Unity University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife Biology and later obtained her Master’s Degree in Animal Sciences. Taylor currently works with our PennAg members in the poultry and equine industries. She also represents PennAg on several committees and assists in its programs: Poultry Executive Committee, Poultry Health Committee, Pennsylvania Egg Quality Assurance Program, Live Bird Market Committee, Rapid Response Program and the Horse Council.

Courtney Love grew up on a cow-calf and crossbred sheep farm in Reading, Pennsylvania, where she and her family still farm today. Before joining PennAg, she wrote and edited content for Successful Farming magazine’s digital team in Des Moines, Iowa. Prior to moving to Des Moines, she wrote and edited for Lancaster Farming, a regional Pennsylvania farming newspaper. Love is an award-winning writer with accolades from the Ag Communications Network, the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association, and Berks County Agricultural Resource Network.

Michelle Lawyer is the Accounting and Office Manager at Penn Ag, bringing years of expertise in accounting to the role. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Accounting, a Bachelor’s in Technical Leadership, and an Associate’s in Business. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys staying active, whether it’s bowling, playing volleyball or softball, or spending quality time with her husband and daughter.

Joy LaNoue serves as contract bookkeeper and administrator on behalf of PennAg. A Harrisburg native and graduate of Shippensburg University, she is a dedicated and fervent supporter of Pennsylvania’s agricultural community. Joy possesses an extensive background in the areas of communications, bookkeeping and administration gained from many years with long-term local establishments that include McClure Company and Capital BlueCross. Her organizational capabilities and attention to detail provide an essential component to smooth financial and administrative operations in the office.
